Supporting Women Rebuild Their Lives

FKG is proud to be partnering with Anglicare Southern Queensland to support the Fresh Start Project through the Toowong Women’s Homelessness Service.

Anglicare Southern Queensland’s Toowong Women’s Homelessness Service provides temporary supported accommodation and wrap-around support for women and children experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness.

Many women accessing the service are escaping domestic and family violence or facing significant housing instability. Through trauma-informed, person-centred support, women are supported to rebuild safety, stability and independence.

Fresh Start Project

For many women leaving homelessness, moving into a safe home is only the beginning. Often, they arrive with very few personal belongings and without the basic household essentials needed to start again.

The Fresh Start Project helps turn an empty space into a home by providing practical starter packs filled with everyday essentials that many of us take for granted.

Each Fresh Start Pack costs approximately $500 and includes items such as:
• Bed linen, pillows and blankets
• Towels and tea towels
• Crockery, utensils, pots and pans
• Kettles and toasters
• Basic cleaning and household items

Every dollar donated through this partnership will help provide comfort, dignity and stability to women and families as they begin rebuilding their lives in a safe and secure home.
